Attock Refinery Limited (PSX:ATRL) has announced its annual financial results for the year ending June 30, 2024.

The company earned a net income of Rs. 236.8 per share and declared a total cash dividend of Rs. 15 per share for the year.

On an annual basis, ATRL's revenue saw a 4% increase; however, profit before tax decreased by 15% and profit after tax by 14%. The tax rate for the year remained stable at 36%, compared to 37% in the previous year.

In the last quarter (Q4 June 2024), ATRL earned a net income of Rs. 33.4 per share and declared a cash dividend of Rs. 12.5 per share. The profit after tax in the last quarter declined by 51% compared to the average of the last four quarters.

ATRL is currently trading at a price-to-earnings ratio of 1.5, with a dividend yield of 4.36%.


ATRL has a 0.60% exposure in the KSE100 Index, 0.86% in the KSE30 Index, and 1.36% in the KMI30 Index.

Attock Refinery owns a 25% stake in National Refinery Limited (PSX:NRL) and nearly 22% in Attock Petroleum Limited (PSX:APL).

The Attock Oil Company Limited holds a 60% stake in ATRL, making it the refinery's parent company.

PSX Strongly Rebounds

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) reacted positively to the conclusion of the IMF staff-level agreement and has now recovered a substantial part of the losses sustained on Monday. Today, out of the 1,139-point gain in the KSE-100 Index, around 800 points were contributed by UBL, OGDC, PPL, and Meezan Bank.
